Mapon’s solutions have proven themselves in various events. They helped track and oversee the Women’s Day Rally, as well as a a great mass event during the Science night at the Latvian city of Cesis. Mapon’s systems are just as usable at social events, as they are at running fleet operations.
Mapon can track both mobile phones and our own light, battery-powered devices.
Follow the driving speed of participants, thus ensuring their safety.
Create geo-fences, so you can control that the participants don't wander outside the event grounds.
We will help you make an account and everything else you need for the event.
No need for long-term agreements or investments: an agreement can be made just for the event.
For more than once now Mapon has worked with and supported the organizers of the Women’s day rally with our Mapon Mobile Tracker app and our tracking software. Mapon’s system allowed organizers to follow the teams’ location and plan the necessary actions and schedule for checkpoint referees on the track. GPS tracking gave organizers an insight into how many cars are still on the road and allowed them to see the driven routes. In addition to that, Mapon also created an automatic messaging system, to allow teams to receive automatic warning text messages about overspeeding.Mapon Mobile Tracker Mapon's System
"With Mapon we have worked together for more than two years now, and they have helped make the competition much safer for our ladies. With Mapon's GPS tracking solutions we can follow the participants behaviour on the road and control them if they are going too fast. As organizers we also benefit greatly form GPS tracking and live data which allows to see the location of every vehicle on the map and help them if they are lost. The quality of Mapon's system is proven by the fact it could deal with 723 vehicles (and 2500 women) at the same time in 2017."
In 2017, Mapon had an original project with an architect – Dins Vecans. He aimed to run around the border of Latvia in just 18 days. And he managed! Even though it took him 21 days, he finished the impressive 1800 km distance. People could follow Dins' route on a live map and join him at any point if they wanted to. Mapon's solutions can be used both for individual trek tracking and for tracking group orienteering events.
Together with dotgut, Mapon organized a fun dog hunt (no worries, no animals were harmed)! A group of huskies were let loose in a forest, but before that GPS tracking devices were added to their collars. Participants had to find the dogs in the forest using a digital and publicly available live map. As you can imagine, it was a wildly fun and adventurous event.
Cesis is definitely one of the most beautiful Latvian cities. So Mapon gave people a chance to create art from the streets of this city. During the Science night, participants were given access to the Mapon Mobile Tracker app which tracked their trails and depicted it on the map. The collective trails were then combined in a beautiful collage.
Mapon is part of larger collective of businesses – Draugiem Group – which has an annual icebreaker event. It’s called “Wolf ride” (or “Vilku brauciens” in Latvian). It is a car orienteering competition where participants race each other while doing various tasks and challenges and going through checkpoints. Mapon’s solutions helped the organisers be sure that the participants heeded the traffic laws, went through all the checkpoints and didn't veer off the planned route too much. This ensured the safety of participants and other commuters on the road. The organizers greatly appreciated Mapon's solutions which ensured a fair and safe friendly competition.Learn more about GPS tracking
