Senior Product Designer

🟢 About Mapon

Mapon builds B2B SaaS for companies whose work happens in the physical world. Our platform helps businesses manage vehicles, drivers, and equipment, improve road safety, reduce costs, automate daily operations, and comply with complex transport regulations.

We started in Riga in 2006. Today, more than 35,000 clients use Mapon, with over 400,000 connected devices on the platform. We have 200+ colleagues across Europe and a network of 150+ partners worldwide. In 2025, Mapon grew revenue by 22.8% to 24.2 million EUR while remaining profitable. We have completed eight acquisitions and intend to keep growing organically and through M&A.

Within our Product department, the Designer Team works alongside Product Managers and Engineering to turn complex fleet-management workflows into clear, useful experiences. You’ll primarily work with the Tachogram and Mobile teams, building interfaces for both our web platform and mobile apps. This role shapes both customer-facing product quality and the way we work.

🎯 Why you’ll love working at Mapon

You’ll design for businesses that keep goods and people moving, turning complex logistics data into simple, reliable tools for fleet managers, dispatchers and drivers.

We’re an AI-first product team: we build our work in Claude every day, from research synthesis to working prototypes. More and more of what we ship to customers is AI too, such as assistants, recommendations and automation that fleet operators need to understand and trust. You’ll shape both: how we design, and what AI does for our customers.

You’ll work primarily with the Tachogram and Mobile teams, partnering with Product Managers, engineers and other designers to build consistent, intuitive experiences across our web platform and mobile apps. You’ll have the space to influence the product, strengthen our design system and raise the quality bar across the team.

🧩 About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer at Mapon who enjoys digging into the real problem before shaping the solution. You’ll own end-to-end UX for complex areas and turn customer needs and business goals into clear journeys, interaction models and polished UI.

This is a senior individual-contributor role in the Designer Team. You’ll primarily partner with the Tachogram and Mobile teams, bringing structure to ambiguous problems across web and mobile, helping teams make sound product decisions, and creating patterns that scale across the product.

⚙️ What you’ll do

  • Shape problem framing, turn customer needs and business goals into clear journeys, interaction models and polished UI.
  • Use behavioural data, interviews and surveys to build product-level insight.
  • Design seamless, consistent experiences across the Tachogram web platform and Mobile apps, including flows, edge cases, errors and permissions.
  • Design AI-powered features for our customers, including assistants, smart recommendations and automated workflows, so they’re useful, explainable and easy to correct when they’re wrong.
  • Work in Claude as your everyday design environment: prototype real, working interfaces, synthesise research and data, and help build the tools and workflows the team uses.
  • Create interaction patterns that get reused across the product and set the quality bar for the team.
  • Extend and refactor our design-system foundations.
  • Align stakeholders with competing priorities and build trust through difficult decisions.
  • Lead through influence, and step up when there’s no clear owner.

🔎 Who you are

You combine strong product thinking with excellent UI and interaction-design skills. You are comfortable working with uncertainty, using evidence to make decisions and taking ownership through to shipping.

You:

  • Have 5+ years of product-design experience, ideally on complex B2B, SaaS or operational products.
  • Have a portfolio that shows your reasoning: problem framing, trade-offs and outcomes after launch, and ideally something you built or prototyped with AI tools.
  • Have evidence of systems-level work that others adopted, such as frameworks, patterns or design-system contributions.
  • Are AI-native: you already design with AI daily and can show how it has changed your process. Experience with Claude is a plus.
  • Take initiative and drive solutions through to shipping.
  • Can design intuitive web and mobile experiences, including focused, safe interactions for truck drivers on the road.
  • Combine qualitative research with product analytics and choose the right methods yourself.
  • Communicate confidently with Product Managers, engineers and leadership. You defend decisions and change your mind when the evidence calls for it.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in logistics, fleet, mobility or maps/geo-data.
  • Knowledge of Spanish, Finnish, Latvian, Estonian or Lithuanian for customer interviews.
  • Experience mentoring designers.
