The year has begun, and Mapon’s work on improvements and updates continues as usual. Here’s a short look at what’s been happening in early 2026.
Camera event updates
In the Camera Events section, you can now validate each event by marking whether the detected video was generated correctly or incorrectly. This helps keep your event history accurate and makes it easier to see when the system worked as expected and when it didn’t. Your feedback directly helps improve our products over time.
You can also export events detected for a specific driver. This is useful for reviewing driver behaviour, investigating individual cases, or keeping internal records.

EV battery level now clearly visible
To make dispatcher workflows smoother and charging planning faster, we’ve added EV battery level information to the vehicle tooltip. The setting is enabled by default for fleets with electric vehicles. Simply hover over a vehicle on the online map to see the current battery level.

Object groups layout improvements
The Groups page now features a cleaner, more modern layout while keeping all existing functionality. You can select group colours from predefined Mapon colour sets, and icons are now displayed in a clearer list and can be fully recoloured.
Working status filter for drivers
Large fleets can now manage driver lists more efficiently by assigning working statuses to drivers and filtering lists by any status, including active and deactivated.
New blog: vehicles over 2.5 t and upcoming regulations
2026 will bring important regulatory changes for fleets operating vehicles over 2.5 t. We’ve published an explanatory article to help you prepare in advance and avoid last-minute pressure, especially if your fleet operates internationally.
GDPR and fleet cameras
Another blog highlight this month focuses on privacy and GDPR considerations when using fleet cameras. The article covers how to take a practical, privacy-first approach that supports safety and efficiency without harming internal trust.
