Almost there: tachograph regulation changes start on July 1, 2026
Starting 1 July 2026, new EU rules will apply to light commercial vehicles from 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes. If your vehicle falls into this category, you now see a notification on the Fleet Management page in the Mapon platform.
One more thing about the 2026 tachograph changes: you can now read the key takeaways from our recent webinar with tachograph experts. Learn about the most common compliance challenges and how to avoid them.
Volkswagen Group OEM integration
We've started a collaboration with Volkswagen Group Info Services AG to bring vehicle data from six Volkswagen Group brands directly into the Mapon platform.
If your fleet includes Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Škoda, SEAT, CUPRA, or Audi vehicles, you can now access data such as near real-time location, mileage, route history without having to install any additional hardware.
This OEM integration provides full visibility across mixed fleets while keeping fleet management simple.
Note: vehicle eligibility for the integration may vary by brand, model, and year of production.
Bertschi experience with driving behaviour monitoring
Six years ago, we spoke with our client Bertschi about how they use driving behaviour monitoring. This year, we revisited them to see how data-driven coaching has evolved over time and helped build safer, more fuel-efficient driving habits.

Mapon Driver now supports Android Auto
Mapon Driver now works with Android Auto. Drivers can use Mapon navigation directly on their vehicle's screen, making routes and daily tasks easier to follow without relying on a phone mounted on the dashboard.
Email validation added to Alert setup
We’re improving how alert recipients are managed in Mapon.
From now on, any additional email address added to Alert setup will need to be confirmed before it can receive alerts. Email addresses already added to existing alerts will be validated automatically, so no action is needed for current alert recipients.
This is the first step towards wider email validation across the Mapon platform, helping make sure important notifications reach the right people.
Poland e-TOLL balance monitoring is now live
Mapon now displays e-TOLL settlement account balances directly on the platform for customers in Poland.
You can view current account balances, linked vehicles, and recent balance-related activity. Custom low-balance notifications can also be configured to alert your team before toll coverage runs out.
With e-TOLL information available in Mapon, it's easier to stay on top of account status, avoid service interruptions, and reduce the risk of fines. Full details available in our Help Centre.
Fuel & EV Summary: receipt comparison is now available
You can now compare fuel purchase receipts with data from your fuel sensors in the Fuel & EV Summary report.
You can see fuel purchases from receipts, refuelling detected by sensors, and differences between the two. All in one place, alongside fleet-wide fuel and energy consumption data.
Please note that the old Fuel Summary report will be discontinued on 31 December 2026. We'll send a separate reminder closer to the date.
