Most Mapon platform solutions support the grouping feature. You can create groups for employees and vehicles to filter data. For example, if you have a company branch in two different cities, create two groups to check fuel consumption, idling, mileage, and other data separately. Some clients split vehicles into trucks and passenger cars or employees into field workers and office specialists, and so on.

In addition to grouping, you can also manage access rights as a filtering feature. For example, you can provide full data access to the CEO, or company branch-specific vehicle data to the local manager.

We have two apps – Mapon Driver for employees and Mapon for fleet managers. The mobile workforce can check and add the necessary information from their phones, such as hours worked and job-done forms. Management employees can access this and other data on the go. Both apps also have a messaging tool for quick communication.

If a vehicle has a supported GPS tracking device, then the Mapon fleet management platform will receive a variety of data about how the employee drives. Common parameters include harsh braking and manoeuvring, speeding, as well as cruise control usage. Each driver will get a grade from A to G.

In the long term, managers can identify trends that need improvement. For example, regular speeding wastes a lot of fuel and is risky. With this data, managers can monitor and improve employee driving behaviour.

Managers have multiple strategies available on how to improve driver performance:

• Bonuses based on monthly driving score;
• Long-term performance contests with rewards for the best drivers.
