(Coming soon) Enter VIN to fill out vehicle data
Mapon platform will soon be able to fill out various information fields automatically if you provide a vehicle identification number (VIN). These include make, model, gross weight, and more. Over time, the update will also be applied to vehicles that are already in the platform and have VIN. The system will only update empty fields.
Having larger numbers of standardised data will ensure that different reports and automations are more accurate. The solution will also save you time by filling fields automatically.
More information about unsuccessful tachograph data download
Tachograph files are marked with condition labels valid, warning, or invalid. You can filter files by status. Hover your mouse over the status to see what went wrong with the download. You can also check how many unsuccessful downloads happened since the last good one.
Consistent fuel consumption data in different sections
Fuel consumption calculations now use the same sources in all the main platform sections. It means the data will be the same in Driving Behaviour, Fuel Charts, Route History (in Map section), Dashboards, and Fuel & EV Summary.
Want to save fuel, but need ideas how?
Mapon has all you need to improve fuel consumption in your fleet - reports, data, solutions - but if you need a refresher how to turn all that into savings, check out our practical blog posts!

Update to Map Settings section
All map-related settings are now in one place and simplified. To access settings, click on the gear icon near the top right corner of the map’s side panel.
See actual and planned route in one map
When using Tasks and routes solution, you can see where the driver is actually going compared to the originally planned route. History section lets you see if an already finished trip deviated from the assigned route.
Why planning routes is essential for long haul companies
We had a chat with our client LatIgMa about Mapon’s Task and route planner, as well as other solutions.
Essentially, if a route is estimated at 500 kilometres but ends up being 600, the company pays extra for fuel and time. With Mapon, the dispatcher can define the exact route the vehicle should take. The driver then follows it via the Mapon Driver app, reducing the risk of longer or less efficient routes.
